We are looking to hire an experienced Social Media Executive to develop social executions from the ground up. Focusing on developing and strengthening the businesses brand awareness and profitability. This role will act as Social Media Executive for Karen Millen across all social media content communications and channels, with a focus on supporting and developing the social content strategy & activations, monitoring performance, and creating and scheduling content across multiple social channels. This person will support driving the KPIs and commerce through the power of social, playing a pivotal role in the brand marketing team. This role will be based out of our Central London office. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Following a period of structural change, brand repositioning, and workforce transformation, you'll be reporting into the Senior Social Media Manager working closely with the marketing, creative, ecommerce and communications teams to deliver creative and seamless activations, driving growth and commercial KPIs. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate content across all social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and other relevant platforms. Schedule & publish content to channels on a daily basis in line with Marketing & Trade calendars whilst remaining agile to product and promotional changes. Assist with generating creative ideas for social first-content including campaign assets and real-time videos. Create social first content, capturing BTS, Instagram Reels, TikTok content on campaign and internal shoots. Create relevant re-active social assets, in particular Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels and TikTok. Assist Senior Social Media Manager with campaign projects, support content strategy, content creation and community management. Brief the creative team and manage end-to-end assets on assigned content streams. Collaborate as part of the wider marketing team to develop new social initiatives to drive KPI’s i.e partnerships, competitions, giveaways, influencer content. Build great relationships across the business including buying, digital, creative and marketing to ensure all product, trade and design messages are relevant and timely. Continuously monitor UGC from influencers, micro-influencers & fan community, selecting key posts for approval & inclusion of social plan. Analyse and report on success on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis including future recommendations to test. Support the Senior Social Media Manager on managing Karen Millen’s TikTok Shop and working on initiatives to include this in our weekly TikTok content schedule. Engage in social media presence across all platforms to drive brand and build community. Ensure regular communication with our audiences to build brand trust and loyalty including promoting key campaigns e.g. MyKM and interacting through our KM: Access All Areas Broadcast Channel. Monitor competitor activity and social trends on a weekly basis to ensure brand remains relevant. Brief the customer services team with clear guidelines and regular contact to ensure that their communication with customers is on brand and relevant to each social channel. When required, assist with the monitoring and answering customer service-related questions or escalating issues. WHAT WE LOOK FOR Your Skills, Knowledge and Experience Social Media experience, ideally in fashion, beauty or other relevant industries across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest. Focus on Instagram and TikTok is essential. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Excellent English, written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of SEO copy is viewed as a plus. Proficiency with social software’s i.e Facebook Business Manager / Dash Hudson. Familiar with Google Analytics is preferred but not essential. Proficiency skills with image and video editing. Passionate about fashion. A sound understanding of social media industry and platforms. A creative mind, thinking innovatively when it comes to social media and content campaigns. Organised and process-driven approach to work. Thrives in a fast paced and agile environment. Able to work on multiple projects at one time. Self-motivated and enthusiastic, happy to get involved in a variety of projects. Team player, working with teams across the business Have a flexible attitude to support the scheduling needs of the business at weekends as required.
