Occupational Therapist - Early Intervention and Prevention Hub, BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL
37 hours per week.

Our “Strengths-Based Model of Practice” supports a multidisciplinary approach to enabling and supporting people who live with barriers caused by physical ill health, mental health, frailty, and ageing.
Responsibilities
* Triaging/screening of incoming referrals.
* Adopt a solution-focused approach to promote independence.
* Ensure responses are proportionate, person-centred, and aligned to the individual’s strengths and capabilities.
* Make effective use of existing personal and community resources.
* Use specialist OT skills and knowledge to undertake evidence based and outcome focused assessments to optimise care delivery and ensure the level of commissioned support is proportionate to the individual’s needs.
* Take responsibility for own and the Therapy Technician’s caseload and support the wider team to promote and implement the outcome focused and strengths-based methodology.
* Adhere to the professional and practice standards laid down by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, by the Health and Care Professions Council and Bridgend County Borough Council.
* Protect children, young people or adults at risk (core responsibility of all council employees).
Qualifications
* Ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh.
* An Enhanced with Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS).
* Professional and practice standards conforming to the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, Health and Care Professions Council, and Bridgend County Borough Council.
