The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Administrator to join our established team based in Bamber Bridge, Preston. In this role, you will support the day to day management of our van and car fleet, ensuring accurate record keeping, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and maintaining compliance with legal and company standards. Working closely with our Fleet Controllers, you will help coordinate vehicle usage and collaborate with stakeholders across the Eric Wright Group to support the efficient and high performing operation of our fleet.
What You’ll Do
1. Support the Fleet Controller and wider team with the day to day sourcing of vehicles, communication services equipment, site services and consumables requested by site.
2. Oversee and monitor staff compliance with company car allowance scheme, and report issues to line manager.
3. Coordinate company vehicle insurance claims; maintain records of vehicle damage costs and recharging where required.
4. Collate information and provide reports regarding the status of our car fleet and agreements with our suppliers.
5. Be responsible for purchase and effective use and monitoring of vehicle tracking devices and communication of such to relevant employees
6. Provide weekly update reports to insurers and contribute to annual insurance review meetings
7. Monitor services and MOT’s on all fleet vehicles
8. Maintain up to date and accurate driver records, ensuring that all company drivers carry out a Driver Training Course and re-sit should they have a fault accident claim.
9. Analyse all vehicle accidents and incidents, identify all route causes and drive corrective actions to minimise repeat failures
10. Assist Accounts teams to ensure payments are effective
What You’ll Bring
11. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage with a verity of stakeholders
12. Good level of IT literacy including Microsoft Office
13. Commercial and financial awareness to assist the business deliver on its targets
14. Good time management skills and the ability to multi task on various projects
15. Solid decision making and problem solving skills, solutions focused.
16. Must hold a full UK Driving licence – due to the nature of the role and need to drive company vehicles
17. Previous experience in an administrative role would be advantageous, ideally within transport/logistics sector.
