Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Quantity Surveyor specializing in groundworks and civil engineering, based in Uddingston. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will oversee cost management for groundworks and civils projects. Responsibilities will include;
Prompt presentation of all applications for payment, including all contractual entitlements.
Identification and pricing of variations and additional works.
Prompt presentation of Final Accounts, including negotiation of all contractual entitlements.
Preparation of appropriate documentation in support of additional payment, variations, claims etc.
Ensuring that payments are received in accordance with the contract terms.
Ensuring that all contractual letters/ notices and information are presented in accordance with the contract requirements
Preparation and presentation of Monthly Cost/Value Reconciliations and Final Cost/Value Forecasts.
Assisting Contract Managers with the resourcing and procurement of sub-contractors, materials, plant etc.
Financial and commercial management of Sub-contractors through to settlement of their Final Accounts.
Commercial support to the site and contracts management team.
Liaising with clients, main contractors, and other project stakeholders
Liaising with operational management and advising on all matters relating to Contract and Commercial issues.
Attending progress and other meetings as necessary to represent the company's interests.
Mentor and support assistant quantity surveyor(s), fostering professional development within the team
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications of HND Quantity Surveying
A minimum of 5 years experience working for a civil engineering or groundworks contractor
Excellent communication skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and team members.
