We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to work across two popular casual dining venues in Hull.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys variety, working with fresh ingredients, and being part of a supportive team. You'll split your time between two well-established restaurants, supporting kitchen operations while helping maintain high standards of food quality and consistency.
Both venues have built strong local reputations for quality food, welcoming service, and a positive team culture. You'll be joining a business with a hands‑on owner who values and supports their team.
The Role
As Sous Chef, you will:
* Support the Head Chef with the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen
* Lead kitchen shifts and help manage service
* Maintain high food quality and presentation standards
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management
* Train and support junior kitchen team members
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
* Work across both sites to support operational requirements
The Food
You’ll be working with a varied fresh‑food menu featuring:
* Burgers and casual dining favourites
* Seasonal specials
* Desserts made using quality ingredients
This role offers the chance to work with fresh produce in a busy, quality‑driven environment.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef, or a strong Chef de Partie ready for the next step
* Experience working in a fresh‑food kitchen
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to perform under pressure during busy services
* A positive attitude and team‑focused approach
* Flexibility to work across two locations
* Driving licence and own transport preferred
