Job Title: Senior Associate / Technical Director Location: Leeds Job Type: Permanent Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 Key Responsibilities: * Lead the development, maintenance and validation of complex energy models using IES VE for a range of building types. * Oversee and coordinate sustainability and energy strategies to support planning applications, including compliance with National requirements. * Manage and mentor local office and regional teams, allocating resources, reviewing work, and ensuring delivery to time, budget and quality standards. * Provide expert advice on sustainable design, energy performance and carbon reduction to internal teams and external clients. * Integrate outcomes from LCA/WLCA, circular economy principles and relevant sustainability frameworks into project strategies. * Lead the implementation and optimisation of NABERS and other performance-based rating tools on relevant projects. * Contribute to business development activities, including client relationship management, proposals and participation in key bids. * Champion innovation and best practice in building performance, driving the adoption of new tools, processes and standards across the team. Key Requirements: * Degree in an appropriate field, Engineering, Architecture, Sustainability / Energy. * Significant industry experience (typically over 10 years) in Sustainability, building performance, energy modelling or sustainable design. * Proven leadership experience. * Advanced practical experience with IES VE for energy modelling and performance analysis. * Experience working with BREEAM, WELL, LEED or similar sustainability certification schemes. * Exposure to LCA/WLCA methodologies and circular economy approaches on live projects. * Strong understanding of NABERS or equivalent performance-based rating systems. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present complex technical issues clearly. Desirable Skills: * Relevant accreditations such as Low Carbon Consultant (LCC) and Low Carbon Energy Assessor (LCEA). * Previous experience in a consultancy environment with regional or multi-office responsibilities. * Track record of contributing to thought leadership, technical guidance or industry working groups.
