We are currently recruiting for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our hugely successful Road Logistics in Basingstoke as a Customer service Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the world’s leading logistics and freight forwarding companies and will help you to gain an insight into the industry and help you to forge a career in a global organisation. You will provide high levels of customer service and operational support to our Government client base by processing and monitoring shipments. Compliance is very important within this vertical so attention to detail is key.
How you create impact
As part of our government team the role is to support all the administrative activities within the Customer service Department to enable the servicing of both internal and external customers.
* Provide operational support for specific customers and team members.
* To liaise with all relevant parties throughout the shipment to organise the movement of goods
* To deal with any issues that may arise during a shipment and ensure the client is updated
* Work with the customs department and customer to ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations.
* Ensure where necessary that all transit conditions for military rated items are adhered to.
* Work in accordance with specific customer SOPs
* Process sales and purchase invoices

* Excellent Customer Service skills
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Prevoius exprience in Road Logistics would be a plus
SECURITY VETTING REQUIRED
