Job Opportunity: Housing Officer in Lambeth!
Are you passionate about housing and ready for a temporary role that could lead to more? Our client is seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to join their vibrant team in Lambeth, London!
Contract Details:
* Type: Temporary
* Duration: 1 Month (with potential for extension)
* Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (First week: 9am - 4pm)
* Location: Just a 4-minute walk from Lambeth North train station
* Pay Rate: £15 - £16 per hour (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage rent collection and arrears recovery
* Handle tenancy management functions: voids, viewings, sign-ups, and terminations
* Conduct estate inspections and address arising issues
* Assist in managing cleaning, maintenance, and repairs contracts
* Address resident complaints and information requests
* Maintain accurate records and log sheets
* Organise social and community events for residents
* Conduct welfare calls to vulnerable residents
* Ensure smooth daily office administration
What You Bring:
* Previous experience in a housing organisation
* Strong understanding of current housing issues
* Proficient in IT, particularly Northgate, Sage, and Microsoft Office
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Knowledge of welfare benefits and housing legislation
* Ability to work independently and be approachable
