Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility This rewarding position involves working as part of a team in Dundee and with other facilities and suppliers in the support, design, evaluation and test of media handling devices used in self-service products such as ATMs (Auto-Teller Machines for the Banking Industry). A key requirement is to have 2-4 years' mechanical design experience with a keen interest in the design of electro/mechanical systems operating under S/W control. Work as part of a cross functional engineering team to deliver product solutions that meet our customer's needs in line with project timelines. Experience in mechanical product design. Proven track record delivering cost effective designs to specification and engineering standards. Release work products using the approved system with all relevant documentation required to implement your design change. Design validation via design reviews, stress analysis, assembly tolerances, testing and problem correction CLCA Supplier engagement and change management Collaborate with engineers from different disciplines. Basic Qualifications A Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons 2:1 or better preferred). Strong understanding of Mechanical design principles and technologies. Minimum of 2-4 years post-graduate related experience 3D CAD (ProE/Creo or Solidworks) Drawing, dimensioning & tolerancing experience. Clearly understand documentation and the ability to work solely on problems as well as within a team environment. Must be willing to work to and set high work standards and be a good communicator. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously. Ability to work with suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. Experience with assemblies containing PCBs/harnesses is an advantage.
