This is a permanent role based on either part time or full time hours a week depending on the hours to suit the right candidate.. Located on the edge of Dartmoor in the picturesque town of Chagford, you will be responsible for the coordinating and overseeing of the outside catering operations. As well as working in the office behind the scenes you will get to join us in some of Devon's incredible wedding venues and out on the road at many different styles of event. Outline of what the job involves:
In the Office:
* Organising and event planning ensuring everything is in place to provide a high end service on the day.
* Ensuring correct invoices/quotations are created
* Menu writing with the Chefs
* Passionate about good food and service
* Able to work in a professional manner to maintain brand ethos
* Meeting with clients for their personal 1-2-1 tasting sessions.
* Liaising with new enquiries, proving a welcoming service
* work closely with venues and other suppliers to ensure everything is in the place for the event day.
* Helping with social media content and scheduling
* replying to emails
* Using our paperwork formats, ensure all paperwork is in place for the event
* Preparing and packing for event day
On event day:
* Supporting and coordinating the FOH team ensuring the catering service runs as planned.
* You can be Self motivated and calm under pressure
* Communicate with the kitchen team.
* Able to think quickly on your feet to help resolve any hiccups that may arise.
* Being the smiley, upbeat face of Fig and Smoke
* ensuring all tables are laid
* Using the paperwork efficiently.
* Getting stuck in to help where needed.
* Have a natural eye for detail and always thriving to take the service to the next level.
* Due to locations being across Devon, own transport essential, mileage paid.
Hospitality experience desirable with a strong background in a food led environment with experience to supervise and lead a team.
