Were recruiting experienced and flexible Class 2 HGV drivers to join a modern, forward-thinking business specialising in vacuum tanker operations and overpumping work. This role offers long-term stability, full training, and a real opportunity to build a career in the environmental services industry.
The Role:
Operating Class 2 vacuum tankers to deliver non-potable water and collect sewerage across the region
Working flexibly across day and night shifts depending on workload and operational needs
Using GB Domestic hours logbooks and tablet-based systems to record vehicle checks, work tickets, and reports
Supporting sludge and overpumping operations (full training provided)
Working safely and professionally on client and public sites
Temp to Perm opportunity following a successful probation period
Shift Pattern:
Flexible working across days and nights on a 4 on 4 off rota
Guaranteed 10 hours pay per shift
Overtime available for additional earning potential
What Were Offering:
£19.00 per hour (Ltd or Umbrella, IR35 exempt)
Guaranteed minimum 10 hours pay per shift
Excellent earning potential with additional hours and emergency overtime
Modern, well-maintained fleet of Class 2 vacuum tankers
Full training and progression into specialist qualifications (jetting, confined spaces, traffic management)
Long-term stability with a clear path to a permanent position
Supportive, safety-first working environment
Essential Requirements:
Full Class 2 (Category C) licence with at least 6 months driving experience
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
Good understanding of Drivers Hours (Domestic & EU) and Working Time Directive
Physically fit the role involves manual handling of hoses and tanker equipment
Confident using tablets or other digital reporting systems
Professional, polite, and reliable with strong communication skills
Willing and able to work both day and night shifts
Ideally You Will:
Have previous experience with vacuum tankers or wastewater/environmental operations
Be open to occasional overtime and emergency callouts when required
