Maintenance Engineer (Multi Skilled)
* Location: Paddock Wood or Tonbridge or West Malling or Sevenoaks, Kent
* Contract: Permanent
* Hours: 40 hours per week, Core hours 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm
* Salary: £48,500 Package
Join a growing company with a longstanding family business heritage, manufacturing hop products and supplying to the world's finest breweries. We are seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to enhance our skilled team, supporting diverse production processes and building services.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
* Work closely with the production team to undertake planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across all business functions.
* Utilise your engineering skills to develop solutions and support continuous improvement activities to optimise processing performance.
* Assist the Engineering Manager and projects team with new equipment installations, including industrial wiring tasks.
* Engage in both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to rapidly diagnose and resolve control and instrumentation faults.
* Collaborate with suppliers and third-party resources for maintenance tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Preferably a 60/40 electrical bias.
* Engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship with HNC, ONC, or equivalent.
* Practical electrical and mechanical experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with safe work environments and systems such as Permit to Work; IOSH certification is preferable.
* Experience with pumps, motors and inverters, steam systems, pipework, compressed air systems, and more.
* Knowledge of food-grade areas and HACCP systems.
* Computer literacy in Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
