Metering & Smart Meter Installation Location: Outside of UK (site-based, working away) Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Pattern: Rotating shift pattern (including days, nights, and weekends as required) About the Role We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team, specialising in the installation, maintenance, replacement, and upgrading of electrical meters, including smart metering systems. This is a site-based role, requiring regular travel and working away from home. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality metering services while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Install, replace, and maintain domestic and commercial electrical meters Carry out smart meter installations, upgrades, and commissioning Diagnose and repair faults in metering systems Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and safety standards Complete accurate job reports, certification, and documentation Provide excellent customer service while working in occupied premises Adhere to health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times Work effectively within a rotating shift pattern and adapt to operational requirements Essential Qualifications & Requirements National Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Level 6 Advanced Certificate) or equivalent Registered or eligible for registration with Safe Electric (RECI) as a Qualified Electrician Completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship Strong understanding of the National Rules for Electrical Installations (ET101) Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and fault finding Full, clean driving licence Flexibility to work away from home and on rotating shifts Desirable Skills & Experience Experience in meter installation and smart metering programmes Knowledge of AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) systems Previous experience working on utility or infrastructure projects Strong communication and customer-facing skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team What We Offer Competitive salary of £45,000 per annum Performance-related bonus scheme Accommodation and travel support when working away Ongoing training and development opportunities Career progression within a growing sector All necessary tools and equipment provided How to Apply If you are a qualified electrician looking for a dynamic role within a growing industry, we would love to hear from you.
