Pay Range: $26.32 - $35.11Analyzes corporate financial statements including audited, review level as well as corporate tax returns. Analyst will spread financial statements, borrowing base spreads and assist with covenant management. Analyst will complete written analysis on relationships with smaller commercial and agricultural exposures. Analyst will complete annual reviews varying in smaller exposures and complexity level to maintain asset quality. In this role the employee will assist with administrative reporting for officers loan committee, credit risk committee and various other meetings. Analyst will shadow seasoned analysts and officers on a regular basis to enhance skills.
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree with a degree in accounting or finance preferred. Equivalent education and commercial banking experience are also acceptable.
2. RMA Courses such as (not required all but a plus) Accounting and Ratio Analysis, The Business of Commercial Banking, Ethics and Decision Making, Borrower Analysis: Qualitative Factors, Balance Sheet Analysis, Income Statement Analysis, Combined Balance Sheet and Income Statement Analysis
Skills and Abilities:
3. Ability to interpret data while researching, analyzing and drawing conclusions
4. Ability to read and begin to understand loan documentation, loan structures, financial statements along with having a financial wellness acumen
5. Ability to maintain a strong knowledge of loan policy and procedures
6. Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills with attention to detail
7. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong presentation skills
8. Ability to make decisions effectively and handle conflict resolution
9. Team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
Tasks Performed:
11. 40% Analyze financial statements, prepare spreads, assist with covenant management
12. 30% Shadow experienced analysts and work on line renewals, annual reviews, modifications and change memos.
13. 20% Complete necessary administrative/reporting functions and duties for department
14. 5% Participate in on-going training sessions and RMA classes as needed
15. 5% Travel and other duties as assigned
