Omega is working with this world leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of cutting-edge radar systems, with a focus on the Maritime and Surveillance markets for both the Space and Defence industries.
The Project Manager will be responsible for customer-funded development/production programmes. Activities will centre on a small number of more significant programmes for which the Project Manager could be expected to assist with the bid and then take responsibility for all aspects of the programme from, contract receipt to final acceptance of the product by the customer.
Please note, due to the nature of projects, all candidates MUST be eligible for relevant clearance and therefore must hold a British Passport, and meet all guidelines for clearance.
Key Responsibilities – Project Manager
* Programme Management of customer funded programmes
* Liaison with customers to ensure the finished product meets the customer requirements.
* Identification of areas at risk in programme execution and implementation of measures to reduce these.
* Liaison with all other departments within the business and sub-contractors, to ensure efficient development and production of equipment to customers’ requirements and delivery to agreed timescales.
* Prepare financial data in an agreed format for presentation on a monthly basis to the board of directors and other senior members of staff.
* Export compliance for equipment being delivered in accordance with appropriate guidelines
Qualifications & Requirements – Project Manager
* 5 years practical experience within a Project Management environment
* Experience of running Projects from conception to implementation
* Ability to manage and record budgets/spend and provide forecast information
* Sound customer care skills
* Presentations to senior Management
* Ability to multi-task
* Financially and commercially aware
