About the Role From 30 June 2025, Leeds District increased custody cell capacity across two custody suites, reflecting growing operational demand. This expansion has resulted in a significant uplift in Custody staffing and provides an opportunity for motivated officers to develop and consolidate their experience in a critical frontline environment. Stainbeck Custody Suite is now fully operational, supporting both PACE and non-PACE detainees, operating alongside Elland Road to deliver resilient, high-quality custody provision across the district. Posting Information - Important to Note We are maintaining ongoing recruitment of PC Gaolers to ensure consistent staffing levels across both sites and to support future operational resilience. Please note that some postings, including roles based at Elland Road, are classed as grey roles. This means the role may be time-limited due to operational requirements and could be withdrawn within a specified period, with redeployment to an alternative location or role if required.
