Hospital and Community Pharmacy Technician
9‑month fixed‑term contract – Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary.
Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Pharmacy Technician with strong communication and teamwork skills. The role requires the ability to work under pressure, maintain high accuracy, and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines in a patient‑focused service.
Responsibilities
* Distribute medicines and support ward‑based medicines management duties.
* Conduct medication reviews in community settings and participate in clinical trials.
* Record patient medication history and process patient discharges at ward and community level.
* Perform full dispensary duties as required.
* Work extended hours, including late nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
Qualifications
* Pre‑registration trainee Pharmacy Technician registering in 2025 – welcome applications.
* Experience and qualifications for Band 5 Pharmacy Technician; if not available, appointed to Band 4 with expectation to progress to Band 5.
* Excellent organisational skills, keen eye for detail, and ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure.
