Base pay range
Pay will be based on your skills and experience; discussion with the recruiter will determine the final amount.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and oversight for global full-service clinical trial activities, including project management and finance teams.
* Participate in the development and implementation of organizational strategies, technologies, and best practices that ensure superior customer service, staff development, and quality information management.
* Develop and improve policy and processes; monitor compliance and manage product quality.
* Represent project and finance teams with sponsors and clients throughout the project life cycle, ensuring high quality and timely service.
* Support Business Development by assisting with bid development and defense as required.
Operational Planning & Oversight (40-50%)
* Participate in the operational planning process and advocate on behalf of the functional area.
* Guide the departmental planning process to transform strategic plans into measurable operational short‑ and long‑term goals and targets.
* Oversee the project development process with Sponsors and Directors, ensuring quality product delivery and resource allocation.
* Maintain sufficient project‑level staffing and utilization targets.
* Represent project operations on cross‑department planning initiatives.
Unit Leadership, Team Management and Engagement (30-40%)
* Serve as a role model, motivator, and mentor to the Clinical Project Operations team, ensuring adequate staffing and providing support for managers in work allocation and resource planning.
* Act as a senior representative of the project operations team at client meetings.
* Represent project operations at business development meetings, including bid defenses and scientific conferences.
* Attend and present at investigator meetings as needed.
Product Service/Excellence (10-15%)
* Collaborate with leadership to achieve excellence in project services, evaluating and implementing recommendations to minimize risk and meet regulatory standards.
Budget Planning & Financial Risk Management (10-15%)
* Plan, manage, and report on departmental budgets during the annual operational review processes.
* Maintain knowledge of financial and regulatory risks and develop methodologies to review, monitor, and manage those risks.
* Prepare budgets and proposal text in response to requests for proposal, requests for information, and statements of work.
* Oversee change order development for full‑service projects to ensure cost realization.
Qualifications
* Undergraduate university degree (Bachelor or Honors Bachelor) + minimum of 10 years related experience, or College diploma/degree + minimum 15 years related experience.
* Deep experience in full‑service project management leadership, coaching, and leading a team with an excellence mindset.
* Significant financial responsibility, including extensive participation in budget setting and autonomous expenditure decisions limited by company policy.
