Account Manager - Public Sector Tech Sales - York (hybrid / remote)
#TeamCandour are seeking a highly experienced Account Manager to spearhead the development of Technology sales within the Public Sector market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in account management within the IT solutions space, with a strong understanding of the Microsoft product line.
Responsibilities
* Build and cultivate relationships with customers in the public safety field, particularly police and fire departments
* Identify and capitalize on Licensing and Solutions opportunities within new and existing accounts
* Establish trust, comprehend the customers' business needs, and work towards strengthening long-term partnerships
* Conduct face-to-face customer meetings and conference calls to qualify opportunities, demonstrate technology, and scope solutions
* Manage the sales pipeline for the assigned account base and communicate key deals and opportunities to the Divisional Sales Manager as necessary
* Oversee a renewals pipeline for associated clients, maximizing upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Qualifications
* Proven experience as an account manager within IT solutions, with a deep understanding of the Microsoft product line
* Previous experience in an IT reseller environment
* Experience working with customers in the fire and police departments is highly advantageous
* Proficiency in developing, scoping, and supporting client sales cycles
* Ability to establish confidence and credibility with customers, focusing on building strong partnerships
* Ambition and determination to pioneer a new business area and take ownership of its development
* NPPV level 3 clearance is required for this role
Day-to-Day
The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering client relationships, identifying opportunities, and managing the sales pipeline. This role will involve regular interactions with public safety organizations, understanding their unique needs, and aligning our IT solutions to support their objectives.
