About Us
Andaman Surgery is a 4‑partner practice with a small, friendly, and effective team. The nursing team consists of 3 practice nurses, 2 HCAs, an NA, and a Nurse Practitioner. We hold regular education meetings and actively encourage ongoing training.
Job Description
Responsibilities include maintaining accurate contemporaneous computerised clinical records for every contact, using templates for NICE Guidelines and prescribing information; documenting adverse events, safeguarding child or vulnerable adult issues, and other notifiable matters. Patients are seen face to face for known long‑term conditions (Diabetes, COPD, Asthma, Hypertension), with assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual treatment plans. You will perform holistic assessments for patients attending cervical cytology smear tests, provide wound management (including suture removal) and support long‑term condition management in line with evidence‑based guidelines. You will support patients in adhering to treatments, promote healthy lifestyles, apply legal policy for vulnerable populations, and work within the performance framework of the Care Quality Commission. Effective communication across teams, including face‑to‑face and online consultations, and liaison with nursing colleagues and other professionals are essential.
Person Specification
* Essential: Experience working as a Practice Nurse in General Practice; Knowledge of using SystmOne (clinical system); Recognised NMC Registration (PIN); Experience in long‑term condition management and wound care.
* Desirable: Knowledge of Clinical Templates and long‑term condition reviews; Cervical Screening; Spirometry qualification (ARTP); LARC qualified.

* UK professional registration required.
