Responsibilities
The Distribution Team are responsible for the correct and accurate delivery of orders to the corresponding location point across the hospital. This is a manual handling intensive role involving walking a minimum of ten thousand steps per day.
Goods are first booked in and then placed in the different zones according to the areas in which they need to go. A good eye and attention to detail are essential. Keeping the zones and the PGI area clear and organised is critical for health and safety compliance.
Drivers learn to operate an electric tug to move cages and linen throughout the Trust. Linen must be processed every morning by all team members, then on a rota system for afternoons, weekends and all bank holidays.
Key Duties
* Deliver orders accurately to designated locations
* Maintain clean and organised zones and PGI area
* Operate electric tug for transport of cages and linen
* Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times
* Support the rest of the staff by ensuring timely delivery of supplies
Requirements
As the role is a full‑time permanent vacancy, it is not available to individuals on a Student visa unless they meet the following criteria:
* Have applied for a Graduate visa
* Or have successfully completed a course and applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of employment
