Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s EBD Home

Salary: £32,450–£40,150 including sleeps
We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider dedicated to delivering exceptional care and education for children and young people with complex needs. The Senior Residential Support Worker will play a vital role supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties within a Children’s EBD Home in Stevenage. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in a nurturing environment that promotes recovery and lasting change. Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of professionals to deliver therapeutic care tailored to each child's needs
* Support the Service Manager in managing daily operations to high standards
* Act as a positive role model, fostering trusting relationships with children and colleagues
* Provide therapeutic care to promote recovery and positive development
* Maintain accurate documentation, including care plans, progress reports, and observations
Requirements
* Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a children’s residential setting, with knowledge of child‑centred, therapeutic models
* NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Excellent communication skills, caring nature, flexibility, and resilience
