Service Supervisor – Service Operations

Job Purpose
To provide essential support to the Field Line Manager, leading a diverse team of engineers, ensuring the seamless delivery of all engineering services within KPI guidelines.
This position offers a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and strategic planning, making it ideal for a proactive and motivated individual ready to make a significant impact.
Key Accountabilities
* Create an environment where engineers are motivated to achieve their best, leading by example with a strong commitment to excellence.
* Work closely with the Field Line Manager to develop and implement strategies that promote continuous improvement and enhance team efficiency.
* Provide mentorship and training to team members, helping them develop their technical skills and fostering a culture of ongoing learning and development.
* Assist in the induction of new team members, ensuring they are fully prepared with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
* Actively participate in engineering tasks, providing practical, on-the-ground support and troubleshooting complex systems, products, and issues.
* Offer over-the-phone technical assistance to team members, helping them resolve challenges swiftly and efficiently.
* Regularly conduct health and safety audits within the engineering team, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Develop and enforce action plans to address any safety concerns, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
* Monitor and ensure that all engineering tasks are completed to the highest standards, meeting both customer expectations and business objectives.
* Serve as the primary communication link between field operations and the office, ensuring clear and consistent information flow.
* Facilitate feedback from the field to management, helping to refine processes and improve service delivery.
* Plan and schedule work assignments, effectively organising personnel and material resources to meet project timelines and objectives.
About You
* Experience with Gent and Notifier systems
* Proven experience in field electrical and supervisory/management
* Industry specific qualifications (FIA or equivalent)
* Fully qualified with a certificate in IOSH or SSSTS (Health and Safety)
* Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Sound knowledge of contract terms and pricing
* Full driving licence
* Ability to create and build strong relationships with a professional approach
