Serco has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Document Controller to join our team based at RNAS Culdrose. This role is part of the Integrated Merlin Operational Support contract within the Air Engineering Writer team, supporting contractual delivery at the site.
Main Accountabilities:
* Ensure aircraft electronic structural information and supporting documentation are complete and accurate to maintain administrative integrity and airworthiness.
* Support the aircraft receipt process by liaising with the despatching unit for documentation checks, GOLDesp reports, and compliance with MOD F743 and MOD F743A, maintaining the aircraft receipt log.
* Assist in the aircraft despatch process, ensuring MOD F700C contents align with the latest MOD F799/1 instructions, and generate aircraft despatch notifications with a maintained despatch log.
* Generate and submit aircraft weight and moment concession requests as needed.
* Act as the point of contact for disseminating relevant Technical Instructions issued by the DT.
* Support the generation of 'Request Category' requests as directed by customer Line Management.
* Collect and store component change proformas.
* Manage the receipt and dissemination of signals, maintaining a signal log.
* Promote the Maintenance Error Management System (MEMS) and encourage incident and near-miss reporting.
Requirements:
* Previous aircraft engineering experience with good knowledge of Merlin Aircraft Systems and Naval Air Publications, including C-IETP.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety, COSHH, Tool Control, and Quality Practices.
* Experience with Engineering and Asset Management Systems.
* Completion or ability to complete a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
* Understanding of rotary wing military aviation procedures.
* Proven experience in Airworthiness Engineering Safety and Compliance according to MAA regulations.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintaining operational outputs.
