Overview
Hours of Work: 37.5 per week, Monday - Friday; this role is eligible for hybrid working.

We now have an exciting and challenging opportunity to join ASCO Group as a Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal and Compliance function which supports ASCO's business in the UK and internationally.
Responsibilities
* Provide legal and commercial advice and support to ASCO's UK and international business units on a range of legal and compliance matters.
* Demonstrate strong capability in contract qualification and review; knowledge of LOGIC type contracts is required.
* Support business units on matters such as GDPR, data protection, sanctions compliance and related regulatory aspects; working knowledge in these areas would be advantageous.
* Support Group activities including Insurance renewals, M&A and financing exercises in conjunction with external advisers; report to the Group General Counsel; may manage other team members.
Qualifications
* Candidates should be legally qualified with a current practising certificate from the Law Society of Scotland or the Law Society of England and Wales, and at least 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in a corporate or commercial environment, either in-house or in private practice.
* Contract qualification and review is a key part of this role; knowledge of LOGIC type contracts would be required.
* Knowledge of GDPR, ABC, Sanctions Compliance and Data Protection would be advantageous.
Minimum qualifications
* English or Scots Law Qualification as a Solicitor.
