Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Business Partnering: Providing financial insights to the International Leadership Team, shaping strategic decisions. Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, contributing financial expertise to business strategy.
* Financial Planning and Analysis : Oversee financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for international business units. Collaborate with FP&A and Strategy heads to deliver actionable insights through analytics.
* Functional Strategic Direction and Transformation :Drive finance transformation plans to support strategic goals. Identify process improvement opportunities within finance and lead continuous enhancement initiatives.
* Team Leadership and Development : Lead finance teams supporting various functions across the UK&I senior leadership team. Provide strong leadership, fostering collaboration, and setting clear goals for team members.
* Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Build and maintain successful relationships with key stakeholders. Effectively communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives, driving alignment.
Location:
This role is based in Nuneaton, 2-3 x per week (Hybrid).
We have bases in Nuneaton, London and Burton, and some travel may be required to all locations. There will also be travel outside of the UK due to the international nature of the role. We're a global, digitally enabled business and we expect our colleagues to be self-driven and to determine the most appropriate place to work each day to meet the requirements of the role, achieve their best performance and optimum output.
The Person:
Key Requirements:
* Professional certification - ACCA/CIMA.
* International Expertise: Experience navigating regulatory environments across multiple countries, overseeing financial operations and supporting growth initiatives.
* Finance and Accounting Principles : Deep knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
* Business Acumen : Strong understanding of the retail industry, customer needs, and market dynamics.
* Change Leadership : Proven track record of driving transformational change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
