We are looking for volunteers to help develop various activities/one-to-one or group work for our NEET program (not in education employment or training).
Do you have an interest in youth work, mentoring, counselling and supporting young people in the community Or working towards a qualification in these areas ? We will love to hear from you.
Successful candidate will be developing and leading workshops for young people referred to the organisation.
Act as a support and work with the young people on 1-2-1 basis, developing sessions for group work, keep track of their progress.
Provide support for their families where required.
Youth Work background is desirable.
Ability to use remote learning platforms like Zoom is also desirable, as most of the session work will be carried out remotely.
Youth and community workers provide support to individuals or groups of
individuals through a range of activities or services that aim to encourage
participation in social and community life and promote personal and social
development. The role includes:
Organises social, recreational and educational activities in local community and
youth groups.
Supervises the activities of voluntary workers
Advises individuals with particular needs or problems through informal
discussion, individual counselling or formal group discussion.
Our NEET project
IMPACT-NOW source and provide apprenticeship and Work experience for youth at risk of NEET (not in education, employment or training) ages 16 to 24 years and youth with learning disabilities up to 35 years.
IMPACT-NOW provide one-to-one direct intervention work through counselling and support as well as groupwork for youths affected by a range of social, emotional, transitional and challenging issues like domestic violence, mental health, low self confidence, substance misuse, low self-esteem, anger management, depression, anxiety, self-Harm, difficult and challenging behaviour that have impacted on their education and development.

Qualification
There are no formal academic entry requirements for this role as training will be
provided, however a bachelor's degree holder in any course is preferrable.
Background checks including a CRB check are likely to be required.
