An inclusive Hounslow public school is recruiting a dedicated Reception Teacher to start January 2026 on a full-time basis. The Reception Teacher will lead an energetic Early Years class, plan high-impact phonics and mathematics provision, and work closely with teaching assistants to ensure every child makes strong progress from January 2026. The successful Reception Teacher will prepare the learning environment in the weeks leading up to January 2026, attend a comprehensive induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher. Reception Teacher Responsibilities The Reception Teacher will lead daily phonics and story sessions as the Reception Teacher; create language-rich continuous provision both indoors and outdoors as the Reception Teacher; run targeted small-group interventions as the Reception Teacher; complete formative assessment and communicate progress with families as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will also contribute to school enrichment days and bring creativity to themed learning weeks starting from January 2026. Reception Teacher Requirements We seek a Reception Teacher with QTS or equivalent, strong EYFS experience and confident pedagogical knowledge. The Reception Teacher should be reflective, collaborative and able to evidence impact. Availability for planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and the ability to start in post from January 2026 is essential. CPD & support for the Reception Teacher This Hounslow school offers a targeted CPD programme, mentoring and regular coaching sessions for the Reception Teacher. From initial induction in January 2026 the Reception Teacher will access peer observations, curriculum workshops and leadership development.
