School Site Assistant

Monday - Friday 10 Hours per week
Quarry Bank Primary School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Site Assistant who takes pride in their working environment. This is a part‑time, 39 week term time, permanent position.
The School Site Assistant is responsible, through the Headteacher and Governing Body, for a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the fabric and grounds of the school.
Responsibilities
* Carry out end-of-day security procedures, ensuring all buildings, classrooms, offices, gates, doors, and windows are securely locked.
* Conduct routine inspections of the school site to identify and report any security, health and safety, or maintenance concerns.
* Respond appropriately to security issues, alarms, or emergencies in accordance with school procedures.
* Undertake general cleaning duties within school buildings, including communal areas, classrooms, offices, and welfare facilities as required.
* Carry out external cleaning and housekeeping tasks, including litter picking, sweeping pathways, and maintaining the cleanliness of outdoor areas.
* Assist in maintaining the overall appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the school premises.
* Report defects, damage, vandalism, or maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate person.
* Support the site management team with general site duties and minor maintenance tasks where appropriate.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
* Assist with the movement, setting up, and storage of equipment, furniture, and supplies as required.
