Lecturer – Education Focused
UNSW, Kensington Campus, Sydney, New South Wales – Part time, 10.5 hours per week (0.3 FTE); 2‑year fixed‑term contract. Remuneration: Level B from $127,947 + 17% superannuation and annual leave loading (pro‑rata).
About the Role
The School of Clinical Medicine delivers high‑quality teaching across all clinical campuses. As an Education‑Focused lecturer, you will deliver engaging undergraduate and/or postgraduate classes, assess student learning and provide tailored academic support. You will design innovative learning activities and resources, contribute to experimental teaching approaches, and foster individual and cohort progression to enhance student outcomes. Your role includes managing course administration and quality assurance, maintaining professional development in pedagogy and discipline knowledge, and articulating a clear teaching philosophy that inspires learning.
Who You Are – Skills & Experience
* A PhD in a related biomedical or medical discipline (preferred) and/or relevant work experience.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
* Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. discipline‑based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).
* Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work‑integrated learning (desirable).
* Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development.
* Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
