The Role
We are seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver to join our friendly team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering our products to customers across designated routes. One day you may be driving from our Dorset depot to Devon and the next driving to South London. We average 3-5 drops per day on our 18 tonne vehicle, prioritising timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
This is a hands-on role that requires collaborative working with the operations team to drive efficiency in all things transport.
Tacho experience essential.
Working hours
42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Duties
* Operating the 18 tonne Class 2 HGV safely and efficiently.
* Complying with all relevant driving regulations.
* Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned vehicle.
* Assisting the warehouse team as needed.
* Completing relevant documentation, such as vehicle maintenance sheets and temperature record forms.
* Assisting with loading and unloading of vehicle.
* Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of work uniform.
* Reporting any site issues promptly.
* Adhering to basic health and safety standards, including proper lifting techniques, and wearing appropriate PPE.
* Keeping the vehicle equipment shed organised.
* Performing daily litter checks within the vehicle cab.
* Ensuring empty pallets are not left in the vehicle overnight.
* Plugging in the vehicle when loaded the previous day.
* Completing training in a timely manner, as required.
* Adhering to company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
* Hold a valid Class 2 HGV (Category C) driving licence.
* Have a valid driver CPC qualification and digital Tachograph card
* Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential
* Good geographical knowledge of delivery routes
* Ability to handle physical work, including loading and unloading of deliveries
* Willingness to work with all different types of stock, in temperature-controlled areas and pick customer orders from the order sheet when required to help the Warehouse team
* Wrap and load pallets securely and safely using the space to reduce damage in transit.
* Good attention to detail when working quickly
* Receive returned items from customers, completing necessary documentation as required
* Self-motivation to work hard and do everything to the best of your ability
* Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points
* Excellent customer service skills

Interview requirements
Interviews will be held in person at our depot. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to present their valid Class 2 HGV (category C) driving licence, driver CPC card and digital Tachograph card. We will also need to download data from the Tachograph card and review the DVLA check code, so please ensure you bring this with you. Additionally, a driver assessment may be required, and no offer of employment can be made without its successful completion.
