My client focuses on food, drink and lifestyle brands. They are a strategic brand agency delivering packaging and marketing solutions, and are a BCorp supporting ESG businesses.
THE ROLE
This freelance Project Manager role is for an anticipated 3 months. You will help manage the smooth transition of brand and packaging design projects from the creative team through to artwork production and delivery for a Netherlands-based eCommerce client.
You’ll coordinate between designers, artwork teams, production teams, and clients, ensuring creative intent is accurately translated into high‑quality final artwork ready for print. You’ll also work closely with the Operations Director to plan, schedule, and traffic work effectively through the studio.
There is extensive packaging design – from teabags, soft drinks, to pasta – so applicants must have evidence of experience speaking with suppliers on print cuts, cutters, colours, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 * Manage packaging design projects from creative handover to final artwork and production delivery.
 * Collaborate with the Operations Director to plan and traffic projects through the studio, ensuring resources are allocated and timelines are met.
 * Coordinate workflow between the creative and artwork teams, maintaining clarity and momentum across all active projects.
 * Lead technical calls with suppliers and clients, clarifying specifications, materials, and print requirements.
 * Handle client feedback and approvals, maintaining clear documentation and communication at all stages.
 * Review and sign off artwork files against agreed outputs.
 * Maintain accurate project trackers, schedules, and reporting.
 * Work closely with the print production team to ensure all deliverables are production‑ready and on time.
YOU
 * 5+ years’ experience managing brand and packaging artwork projects (agency or production‑side).
 * Strong knowledge of packaging print processes, materials, and artwork workflows.
 * Proven ability to plan and traffic projects through a busy design studio.
 * Confidence in leading technical discussions with both clients and suppliers.
 * Experience collaborating closely with creative, artwork, production, and operations teams.
 * Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
 * Excellent client‑facing and communication skills.
 * Fluent in English and have the right to work in the UK.
