Base pay range

Responsibilities
* Carry out site inspections to validate insurance claims and assess property damage
* Interpret insurance policies to determine liability and scope of work
* Prepare detailed repair schedules and oversee claims through to resolution
* Manage and coordinate external contractors, ensuring quality and compliance
* Liaise professionally with all stakeholders, including policyholders and suppliers
* Attend site visits for complex claims and support other team members as needed
* Investigate and manage subsidence-related claims where appropriate
* Ensure compliance with internal processes, client SLAs and Health and Safety legislation
* Prepare high-quality reports within agreed timelines
Skills & Experience
* Membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, CIOB, CILA, etc.) is essential
* Degree in Building Surveying, Construction, or related discipline is essential
* Previous experience with both general perils and subsidence claims is essential
* Strong experience as a Building Surveyor, ideally within insurance claims
* Comfortable with regional travel and occasional overnight stays
* Expertise in building pathology and knowledge of UK construction standards
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple projects independently
* Ability to remain calm and effective when handling complex claims
