About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and empathetic SEMH Tutor to deliver high-quality, individualised tuition in Maths and English to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Learners may present with anxiety, low self-esteem, or Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), requiring a calm, personalised, and trauma-informed approach.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate tailored 1:1 or small group sessions in Maths and English
* Build trusting relationships that foster student confidence and engagement
* Adapt learning strategies to meet a variety of SEMH needs and learning profiles
* Monitor and report on student progress

Essential Requirements
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or minimum 3 years’ tutoring experience
* Proven track record of working with SEMH learners
* Strong communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills
* Ability to assess and adapt content to individual student needs
* Must be local to or able to travel to Wallingford and nearby areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
