Role Overview
An Accounts Payable Assistant completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. The daily duties include;
1. Timely processing and payment of all supplier invoices and staff expense claims
2. Administration of the Corporate card account
3. Charging invoices to the correct accounts and cost centres
4. Paying vendors and purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies
5. Reconciling vendor accounts statements and related transactions
6. Ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos and issuing stop-payments where required
7. Processing and reviewing employee expense reports for adherence to policy
8. Breach reporting
9. Maintaining historical records by filing documents
10. Mailbox management and query resolution
11. Adhere to governance and controls that are in place
Experience / Competences
Essential
12. Right to live and work in the UK
13. Experience of working in an accounting environment, interacting with stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
14. Experience of processing a high volume of invoices on a monthly basis
15. Experience of working to strict month end close deadlines
16. Experience of dealing with multiple AP sub-ledgers and multi-currency transactions
17. Experience of payment platform and banking software
18. Experience of VAT reporting and the data required to report accurately
19. Experience of reporting in a KPI driven environment

20. Experience working in the financial services sector
21. Experience of using Oracle Financials/ Oracle E-Business Suite
