The Opportunity
We seek a Senior Ecologist to join our team and work on various projects across different sectors. You will work closely with our Principal Ecologist and help build a team of talented professionals who share our vision of innovation and biodiversity.
You will collaborate with teams from planning, engineering, and design, supported by our Ecology Team. Your responsibilities include ecological surveys, assessments, designing mitigation measures, and obtaining protected species licences. You will mentor junior staff and have opportunities for professional growth and training.
About You
You hold a minimum BSc in ecology or a related field, with experience in consultancy and UK/EU wildlife legislation. Skills in assessments like PEAs, ECIAs, ecological chapters, and familiarity with UKHab and the Defra Metric are essential. You must have a protected species survey license and experience managing projects and client relationships. Strong communication and leadership skills are required, along with a full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
Ideally, You'll Also Have
* Membership of CIEEM, IEMA, or similar
* Experience in line management
