The Role
As an Estates Maintenance Technician, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections on systems including emergency lighting, fire alarms, smoke detectors, evacuation alarms, ventilation units, and water systems.
Using a tablet-based CAFM system, you'll log and update jobs, complete minor remedial works where possible, and escalate any issues promptly. You'll also support the wider maintenance team and contractors, working safely and in line with risk assessments.
What We're Looking For
To succeed as an Estates Maintenance Technician, you'll ideally have experience maintaining large or varied estates, with knowledge of CAFM systems as an advantage.
You’ll be self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage your workload effectively, with strong attention to detail—especially when working with heritage buildings. Good communication, basic IT skills, and a team-oriented approach are key.
