Job Description:
As a Principal Cyber Analyst, you will be responsible for visualising and communicating how Darktrace products have positively impacted our clients’ businesses. You will analyze technical data to identify potential cyber threats and ensure our clients are protected by Darktrace’s suite of products.
This role offers candidates with strong technical backgrounds the opportunity to have a high impact with customers and the organization, especially in supporting the development of others. Key responsibilities include:
* Using the Darktrace suite of products to prepare and present customer-facing reports,
* Investigating and communicating critical information about potential threats, ongoing compromises, and retrospective incident analysis internally and to clients,
* Performing real-time analysis of emerging threats within the SOC team,
* Representing analyst work and cybersecurity principles both internally and externally, as required,
* Acting as a subject matter expert,
* Mentoring and sharing knowledge with junior professionals,
* Contributing to impactful projects with an understanding of broader business contexts,
* Collaborating across internal teams to influence stakeholders at operational levels,
* Identifying areas for continuous improvement.
This is a fast-paced role requiring an organized, proactive individual who is adaptable to change and comfortable multitasking.
This is a permanent position based in our Cambridge or London offices, with an expected attendance of 2 days per week.
Required Experience:
We seek someone with a keen eye for detail and strong deduction skills to analyze and solve technical issues, capable of working independently within a diverse team. Candidates should have:
* Previous experience in a Cyber, Research, Intelligence, or Analysis role,
* Deep technical knowledge of cybersecurity principles and technologies,
* Demonstrable ability to share knowledge and mentor others,
* Meticulous attention to detail with proven analytical and time management skills,
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written,
* Strong tactical decision-making abilities for handling unforeseen issues and complex decisions.
