Job Description
* Functions as the shift supervisor of the Linlithgow GSOC in the absence of a Duty Operations Manager.
* Ensures adequate coverage of all posts and positions in conjunction with company management or designated representatives.
* Prepares files and submits various reports as required.
* Carries out supervisory duties including orienting and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, coaching performance, and addressing complaints.
* Observes and reports, documents all unusual/unsafe activity, and takes appropriate action as required.
* Reports all building utility/service/life safety issues to the appropriate responders and Security Management.
* Notifies, assists, and directs external emergency personnel and internal emergency response teams (ERT) as necessary.
* Dispatches mobile or other patrol officers to check and/or secure access areas into and onto client's premises.
* Monitors the movements and locations of security personnel to expedite service requests and ensure employee safety.
* Answers global multi-line telephones and dispatches security personnel as appropriate.
* Responsible for the proper operation and monitoring of all life safety, access control, and loss prevention systems.
* Keeps and documents detailed records of activities during the shift.
* Ensures acknowledgment of alarms and dispatches personnel to investigate.
* Initiates all emergency notification calls and possesses knowledge of emergency response procedures at multiple sites.
* Prepares all required written reports, including Operations Database, Incident Reports, and other logs.
* Generates computerized incident reports.
* Views CCTV displays for suspicious/unusual/hazardous activities.
* Responsible for the proper operation and monitoring of all security communication systems.
* Provides feedback on operating processes to ensure continuous improvement.
* Monitors media and other sites to prepare data for the client.
* Participates in professional development courses and demonstrates improved job knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
Essential
* Must have the right to work in the UK.
* Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or education.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Problem-solving skills with decision-making capability.
* Proficient in MS Office and ability to adapt to new systems.
* Professional in appearance and attitude.
* High level of integrity dealing with sensitive and confidential issues.
* Proactive in identifying and sharing best practices.
* Possession of a current SIA security licence.
Desirable
* Experience with LENEL and electronic alarm systems.
* Experience in a Control Room environment.
* Experience in a Security Environment.
* Working towards or completed Securitas Silver Award.
