Project Planner
to join a major transformation programme in upgrading a business-critical system. We are looking for someone with
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
, capable of ensuring that projects are not only well-planned but also

, with stakeholders engaged, aligned, and completing their responsibilities on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
This is a varied and influential role where you'll be at the centre of project delivery — ensuring that plans are realistic, achievable, and that people are on board to make them happen. You'll have the opportunity to shape best practice planning, influence senior stakeholders, and play a vital role in driving transformation across the organisation.
* Develop and implement
planning standards, frameworks, and best practice
across projects and programmes.
* Own, maintain, and update project and programme plans, highlighting risks, issues, and dependencies.
* Facilitate the creation of roadmaps, delivery plans, resource plans, and benefit realisation plans.
* Monitor progress, forecast missed milestones, and provide impact assessments.
* Manage and maintain resource allocation, identifying clashes or shortages.
* Work with stakeholders to ensure delivery commitments are understood and achieved, driving accountability where needed.
* Support project managers and workstream leads with estimating, reporting, and quality reviews.
* Contribute to the design and delivery of training materials to develop planning maturity.
* Ensure alignment between programme delivery and business-as-usual activities.
* Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.
Experience Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be more than just a planner — you'll be a confident communicator, a problem solver, and someone who can bring people together to deliver results. If you enjoy being the person who ensures plans don't just sit on paper but turn into real, delivered outcomes, this role will suit you.
* Proven ability to plan and manage
complex programmes and projects
, including budgets, resources, and timelines.
* Strong experience using
planning tools
(e.g. Microsoft Project) to track and report efficiently.
* Outstanding
communication and interpersonal skills
, with the ability to influence and ensure stakeholders deliver on agreed actions.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Project management qualification (e.g.
PRINCE2
) or equivalent experience.
* Degree or equivalent professional qualifications.
