We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer / Buyer to join a leading national house builder on a freelance basis, working from their Wakefield head office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in residential construction buying to support a busy commercial team.
Role Responsibilities
* Placing material and subcontract orders
* Liaising with suppliers and site teams
* Managing procurement schedules
* Using the COINS system for order processing and tracking
* Supporting the commercial team with general buying admin tasks
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Buyer or Assistant Buyer role within new build housing
* COINS software experience is essential
* Good understanding of construction processes and terminology
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast:paced office environment
