The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team, providing vital support in both learning and classroom cover across the curriculum. You will work under the direction of teaching and senior staff to contribute to pupils’ learning and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teaching and learning across subject areas with confidence and professionalism
* Provide cover for short-term teacher absences, including whole class support where required
* Deliver targeted support to individuals and small groups
* Promote positive behaviour and support students to overcome barriers to learning
* Contribute to planning, assessment recording, and feedback to support pupil progress
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support the school’s vision for high-quality education
Person Specification:
* HLTA status or equivalent experience
* Previous experience working with secondary school pupils
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
