Here at TPTUTORS, we are looking to build our tutor talent pool to support our clients with various student referrals.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking experienced tutors to join our team. The ideal candidates will have substantial experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be willing to work around 10-15 hours per week on a part-time basis. We also have roles starting from 1 hour per week. Each referral requires patience and a focus on delivering tuition in core subjects; referrals for other subjects such as business studies or languages are also occasionally received. We provide both in-person (at students’ homes or public areas like libraries or community centres) and online tuition to Local Authorities and Schools.
Job Duties:
1. Provide tailored educational support to students with SEN in requested subjects, creating your own materials and lesson plans to demonstrate your ability to facilitate educational progress.
2. Complete session reports after each session using our virtual reporting platform. These reports are monitored by the consultant and client and are essential for annual and EHCP meetings. Accurate and detailed reporting also facilitates payment processing.
3. Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly, demonstrating flexibility and patience as each day may differ. Use assessments available on our platform to measure progress at the start and end of tuition.
4. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and relevant consultants, keeping them informed of any challenges and ensuring support and safeguarding are maintained.

* A degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
