Description: DEPUTY HEADTEACHER
The Deputy Headteacher will support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and day‑to‑day management of the primary school, contributing to a clear vision focused on high‑quality teaching, strong pupil outcomes and the wellbeing of the school community.
The role includes a teaching commitment, modelling high‑quality classroom practice and maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement.
Responsibilities and Tasks
* Support the school's vision, values and improvement priorities.
* Lead curriculum development, ensuring progression and continuity across year groups.
* Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning, using data and evidence to drive improvement.
* Promote inclusive practice so all pupils, including those with additional learning needs, achieve their potential.
* Develop staff through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
* Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour.
* Build effective relationships with parents, carers, governors and the wider community.
* Deputise for the Headteacher when required.
This role requires an experienced and reflective leader committed to delivering high‑quality primary education and positive outcomes for all pupils.
