Commercial Pump Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Pump Specialist (Mobile Engineer) to service, maintain, troubleshoot, and commission pumping systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and municipal environments across London within the M25.
Key Duties:
Maintain, troubleshoot, and fully refurbish commercial pumping equipment, including end-suction, in-line, split-case, vertical multistage units, booster assemblies, and sump systems.
Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical issues affecting pumps, drive motors, mechanical seals, bearings, couplings, and variable speed drive (VSD/VFD) installations.
Carry out condition monitoring, vibration diagnostics, operational testing, and efficiency improvements.
Complete mechanical seal changes, impeller setting adjustments, laser shaft alignment, and comprehensive pump rebuilds.
Assist with system commissioning, integration, and initial energisation/start-up procedures.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
Deliver clear client updates, technical advice, and informed service recommendations.
Ensure all tools, testing instruments, and the company vehicle are kept in safe, compliant, and professional condition. Key Requirements:
3–5+ years’ experience working with commercial or industrial pumping systems.
Strong understanding of pump curves, hydronic systems, and mechanical seals.
Experience with VFD-controlled pump systems.
Proven ability to fault-find both mechanically and electrically.
Confidence working independently across multiple client sites.
Full UK driving licence. Key Details:
Salary of up between £55,000 - £65,000
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
