Rutherford Cross is delighted to be exclusively partnered with our client to appoint a Management Accountant for a 12-month contract to cover maternity. The role will be fully remote, so we welcome applicants from all parts of Scotland.
This is a comprehensive, task-oriented position. You will manage the day-to-day accounts for three companies, ensuring everything from daily sales reporting to complex month-end management packs is handled with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Daily/Weekly Operations: Reporting sales figures, reconciling bank accounts (RBS, Ulster, BOI), managing AP/AR, processing vendor payments, and updating cashflow
* Payment Platforms: Managing Stripe and PayPal reconciliations and resolving disputes
* Payroll & Pensions: Running two monthly payrolls and managing pension contributions via Legal & General
* Month-End Excellence: Preparing Management Account packs (including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, and intercompany reconciliations) and filing quarterly VAT returns
* Strategic Support: Liaising with external accountants and providing data to the MD and FD to help challenge the norm and add value to the business
