Role Description
This is a full-time HSEQ Manager role based in Cumbernauld, offered on a hybrid basis with a mix of on-site and work-from-home arrangements. The HSEQ Manager will oversee and continually improve health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems across client engagements, ensuring alignment with legal and industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigations, and producing clear reports and recommendations. The role involves developing and updating HSEQ policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, and supporting CDM and design risk management activities. The HSEQ Manager will provide coaching and training to client teams, lead toolbox talks and learning reviews, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with stakeholders to embed a strong safety culture and drive measurable improvements.
Qualifications
* Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Environment Health and Safety (EHS), with experience implementing and maintaining HSEQ management systems.
* Knowledge of Occupational Health principles and their application in risk assessment, control measures, and wellbeing initiatives.
* Proven capability in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and learning reviews.
* Experience in designing and delivering Training on HSEQ topics, from toolbox talks to formal courses and workshops.
* Relevant professional qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, equivalent H&S or EHS certification); membership or working towards membership of a recognized professional body (e.g., IOSH, IIRSM) is advantageous.
* Demonstrated experience in HSEQ roles within construction, engineering, or related high-risk environments; familiarity with CDM Regulations is beneficial.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presentation of findings, and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
* Proficient in using digital tools for risk assessments, audits, data analysis, and document management; comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
* Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple client priorities while maintaining high standards of integrity and professional judgment.
