As Workshop Team Leader, you'll oversee a team of fitters, ensuring all maintenance, repairs, and inspections are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards. You'll play a key role in daily workshop operations, supporting your team's development while maintaining a positive, safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, support, and motivate a team of workshop fitters.
* Plan and allocate workloads to meet service and turnaround targets.
* Carry out and oversee inspections, servicing, and repairs of plant hire equipment.
* Ensure full compliance with company, safety, and quality standards.
* Coach and develop team members, including apprentices.
* Maintain accurate service and repair records.
* Support continuous improvement across workshop processes.
About You
* NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
* Proven experience in plant maintenance, ideally within the hire or construction industry.
* Strong technical knowledge of plant and construction equipment.
* Confident leader and mentor with excellent communication skills.
* Safety-focused, organised, and proactive.
* Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
