Job Summary
These new innovative roles work on the Youth Transformation Pilot (YTP), a 12‑month pilot funded by the Department of Culture, Media & Sport. The Area Youth Worker will develop a virtual Youth Hub, bring together voluntary & community youth organisations, create an Area Forum for young voices, and collaborate with a pilot school.
Responsibilities
* Co‑design a virtual Youth Hub for the area.
* Engage voluntary & community youth organisations and services.
* Develop the Youth Offer and an Area Forum for young people’s voice.
* Collaborate with one pilot school to deliver thematic group work.
* Work with the Transformation Pilot Team: Digital Youth Workers, FIS Youth Worker, Professional Lead for Youth Work.
* Provide regular evening work Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week.
Qualifications
* JNC Level 6 qualification or JNC 2–4 with considerable experience of working with teenagers/young people in an informal education setting.
* Enhanced criminal record disclosure check required.
* Statutory English language requirement applies.
