Were looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Thames Water Framework team looking after the Maple Lodge STW. Location: Maple Lodge STW – remote working available, with travel to the office/site required at least 3 days a week. Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. Join us as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and play a key role in delivering the commercial success of the £200m+ Maple Lodge STW upgrade project. Youll support and deputise for the Commercial Manager, leading day‑to‑day commercial management of key packages whilst ensuring robust cost control and accurate reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a major water infrastructure scheme from construction through to final account, whilst working within a supportive and collaborative team environment. What will you be responsible for?
* Managing the commercial and financial aspects of allocated work packages, ensuring adherence to contract terms and internal governance.
* Preparing and maintaining detailed cost forecasts, cashflow projections and variance analyses to support robust financial reporting.
* Leading change management processes including valuation, justification and agreement of variations.
* Managing procurement and administration of subcontract packages from tender through to final account settlement.
* Providing guidance and mentoring to Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs, supporting their professional development.
What are we looking for?
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or strong Quantity Surveyor on major civil engineering, process or water infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of contract management and change control processes.
* Highly competent in cost forecasting, financial reporting and commercial governance.
* Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
* Enjoy mentoring others and providing commercial leadership within your area of responsibility.
